FM Ramos was born and raised in the Bronx, in New York City. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from New York University, and a master's degree in social work from Lehman College, CUNY. FM is a licensed social worker, focusing on work with families.
FM Ramos and his wife Christine live in the Bronx. Christine was born and raised in the Bronx as well. She is an artist and a biologist, and she works in the field of education. Her photographs include the letters CDR. She is also the co-creator of this website and is the curator of works. Christine and FM met as teenagers when they were fine arts students at the High School of Art & Design, in Manhattan.
